Jovita Fazenda

Role in project: Project Associate, Trainer/Facilitator


Jovita Fazenda served as the Executive Head of Ethics and Compliance at Vodacom Mozambique before occupying the current position as Director for Regulatory Affairs at Multichoice Mozambique. Jovita holds an LLB degree from The University of South Africa as well as an Operational Risk Management qualification. She is a certified Ethics Officer and a project associate of TEI. Jovita has extensive experience in the field of Corporate Governance, Management of Ethics and Compliance programs.


Ernesto Macuacua

Role in project: Project Associate, Trainer/Facilitator

Ernesto Macuacua is a published author of several academic papers and served as lecturer in Public Governance and Corporate Governance and Ethics at ISCTEM. He completed his MBA in public management at University Eduardo Mondlane, as well as a master’s in administration in Development studies in Corporate Governance at The Hague in Holland. Ernesto is a certified Ethics Officer and serves as a project associate for the Siemens Integrity Initiative on behalf of TEI.


Samuel Ngale

Role in project: Project Associate, Trainer/Facilitator

Samuel J. Ngale earned a Religious Studies and Philosophy doctorate at the University of Cape Town (2011). He also holds a Master of Arts in Theological Studies by Drew University, in Madison NJ-USA (2002) and BA in Theology by Seminário Unido de Ricatla, Maputo Moz (1996).

He started teaching Philosophy and Protestant Christology in 1997 at Cambine Theological School, before departing to the USA to pursue higher education. Since 2012 he lecturers the courses of Human Dignity and Fundamental Ethics at the St. Tomas University’s Business School.

In 2013 he accepted an invitation by The High Institute for Public Administration-ISAP to chair Ethics in Public Administration course for public servants countrywide. In addition to the regular lectureship, he oversees the Department of Research and Development at the same Institute. Samuel is a certified Ethics Officer (#596) and a staunch supporter of TEI.


Joaquim Muando

Role in project: Project Associate, Trainer

Joaquim holds a Master’s degree in Accounting and Auditing and a Bachelor Honours Degree in Business Management. He is CIA, CFE, CERM and ISO22301 certified.

He has over 15 years of experience in a wide spectrum: Internal Auditing, Financial Auditing, Governance and Risk Consulting and has handled a huge portfolio of diversified Advisory clients for different industry sectors, including Manufacturing, Food and Beverage, Oil & Gas, Aviation, Telecommunications, and Financial Services.

He is currently leading Internal Audit, Risk Consulting as Senior Manager at KPMG Mozambique. His extensive experience includes conducting internal audits and recommending sound control mechanisms to mitigate business risks and potential losses. Joaquim has been trained in US Government Regulations, such as US Government Grants Management (Gateway to Grants–G2G), and Generally Accepted US Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS), including Office of Management and Budget Circulars, A-110, A-122 and A-133. He is also trained in COSO, COBIT 5 Foundation, and Business Continuity Management.
